Platysens Update: We’re Still Here

If you’ve been following Platysens for a while, you may have seen some confusing posts from 2021 about the business closing down. We wanted to clear that up.
Yes, the original Platysens operation in Hong Kong did wind down in 2021. But the brand, the products, and the technology found a new home. Platysens is now under new ownership and continues to operate.
The Marlin swim meter and Marlin X rowing meter are still available. We’re still shipping. We’re still supporting customers.
What hasn’t changed:
The products are the same – same technology, same features, same quality. If you bought a Marlin before 2021, it still works exactly as it did. If you’re buying one now, you’re getting the same proven device that won a CES Innovation Award and has been used by swimmers and rowers around the world.
What has changed:
We’re a smaller operation now. We don’t have a large team or a fancy office. But we’re focused on keeping the products available, answering customer questions, and making sure existing users are supported.
